As a non-profit organization that focuses on stimulating academic excellence and mentorship of promising youth in the rural communities, our main activities are three folds; “Village School Project”, “Village Education Project” and “Village Youth Project”. We are passionate about re-branding the educational structure in the villages and rural communities, and preparing the youths in these communities for a greater tomorrow.
THE VILLAGE SCHOOL PROJECT
We facilitate operational partnership including administration and management, with public primary and secondary schools for improving the quality of education. Strategies included implementation of improved methodologies and innovative models for enhancing education performances. We are cognisance of the fact that schools in the rural communities face huge problems of shortage of teachers.
While more competent teachers are often deployed to the schools in the urban settlements, teachers in the villages and rural communities often lack commitments to work due to very complex factors. Our teaching support scheme makes funding supports available for employing additional teachers, supplementing the salaries of the teachers handling some specific subjects (English language, sciences, mathematics and technology) as well as for providing adequate motivational strategies for teachers.
THE VILLAGE EDUCATION PROJECT
The Village Education Project involves creating awareness and educating rural communities on global developmental, transformation issues and improved living standard. We focus on exploring sustainable and positive strategies and programmes that would improve the living standard in the rural communities. The initiative also creates platforms aimed at mobilizing privileged indigenous individuals on developing and giving back to their communities. We motivate and collaborate with privileged indigenous individuals to be involved in initiatives and programs that support innovation, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and tech job creation in their communities.
THE VILLAGE YOUTH PROJECT
The Foundation also provide educational motivating supports to rural children ranges from kids at the elementary schools to youth that are in the Universities. We make efforts to encourage all them to achieve highest level of academic excellence through honouring the best academic performing students in the form of Academic Excellence Awards. We also recognise students with exceptional leadership and other extracurricular skills. We aspire to be involved with the provision of funding supports for the higher education of the academically deserving underprivileged students.
